Plot Summary:Jocelyn works at crying booths belonging to her uncle in the countryside at a time when crying is illegal in the cities. A mixture of prayer and fantasy, the emotional landscape of Jocelyn is peopled by the experience of others, each day, as she waits. A meditation on the mystery of grief.
