Plot Summary:The young son of a wealthy industrialist eschews the material pleasures of life and decides to enter the priesthood. His father wishes his son to follow in his footsteps and recruits his young girlfriend to help change his mind. The girl seduces the inexperienced lad, and he quickly falls prey to the material and sexual pleasures of the flesh.

刚毕业就想出家，人们都觉得他没想好，老爸动用女色诱惑亲情呼唤家庭责任猛烈挽回，但面对当今世界假如他的想法如此偏激容不得妥协，那么哪怕算逃避，修道院大概真是最好的归宿。世界发展至此而和尚尼姑永不断档，本片以简洁而直接的方式予以思考，60年代前期高雅而到处是象征的黑白摄影（父子回家时反复开关的灯、男女爱抚戏全拍镜像乃至黑衣白衣的穿着等）、稀少但得到全力关注的角色，小格局佳作。雅克贝汉这里的表演我觉得比拿奖的半个男人更好更用足他本人的气质，为着自己和这个世界默默流泪的模样，着实不适合俗世啊。
