Plot Summary:Winnie is an intellectually disabled little girl who is committed to an institution by her mother at a very young age. Throughout the film, Winnie struggles for independence, and to feel as if she is "normal". It is a true story based on the autobiography, "Winnie: My Life in the Institution."
