I hate how it diminishes the importance of The First Doctor, the decisions he made in leaving Gallifrey and the character growth during Hartnell's tenure which imprinted on all future Doctors. If The Doctor had been interfering with events, travelling in a TARDIS disguised as a police box and had been calling themself the Doctor before The First Doctor, then Hartnell is hardly the first Doctor and that just feels disrespectful.
I hate how it feels like an excuse to say the Doctor has been so many races and genders. It's meaningless pandering. Those incarnations don't matter, they're not real characters, they're just ultimately pointless faces. They're just there for brownie points. The only one that actually matters is Ruth's Doctor because that one is an actual character.
I hate how it disregards how the 11th Doctor's life ended. How the old man in a young body, who was one of the most hyperactive Doctors, had to settle down and protect a single sleepy village on a backwater planet because it was the right thing to do. Oh wait he's got infinite regenerations, hardly makes sense now.
I hate how it just feels like a big twist moment designed to bring in viewers on a sinking ship, it's like the return of Jack, Chibnall is pulling out whatever he can to salvage ratings.
I hate how some random cloth on a forgotten planet in a bad episode in Series 11 are the only things that knew about the Timeless Child and the Daleks and Cybermen had no idea.
I hate how Jodie's just has to stand there grunting for 30 minutes while garbage exposition is dumped on her. People praise her acting in the episode but if I were Jodie I'd be pissed at the material I get.
I hate how Chibnall clearly had no clue what to do with The Lone Cyberman and just had the Master dispatch him.
I hate the entire principle of Cyber Time Lords.
I hate how 13 just thinks her way out of the Matrix.
I hate how 13 is unable to sacrifice herself to stop The Master and has to let an innocent take the fall. Obviously innocents have died for The Doctor before but the difference here is that the Doctor was not in a position to save them or those innocents actually tricked the Doctor and took his place before he could stop them. In The Timeless Child, Ko Sharmus just says "let me do it" and The Doctor just lets him kill himself and The Master while she walks off, she barely even seems mournful.
I hate how we get one singular moment of something more original to the Sacha moment where he laments the Death Particle not going off before we cut to this evil Smith/more hyperactive Simm Master.
And while I can't say I hated it like the prior stuff, it definitely irked me when The Judoon just casually teleported onto the TARDIS like they did.
For what it's worth, I do actually like Sacha's Master and under a better writer he could definitely come into his own. The Lone Cybermen too was a good villain, not the most interesting but he was threatening in his own right and it was nice to see more of the human beneath the shell. Though I agree with The Master, TLC's plan really was lame.
