气球上的五星期:I will touch the stars and bow to Mars

家里藏着一套简易版文学名著，凡尔纳的一卷包括三部曲，《从地球到月球》和《气球上的五星期》，书页破损情况极为严重。在十几岁接触凡尔纳，是危险又幸福的事。探索世界的冲动在该法国佬的怂恿下无限膨胀，人类改造自然，个体撬动世界。尼摩船长、工程师史密斯、弗格森博士，这些拥有顶尖智慧、非凡道德和无畏精神的文学形象，也许过于高大全，然而在我心中永远闪闪发亮。

五六十年代凡尔纳的作品被集中搬上大银幕，不讨论剧情和画面，我喜欢这批改编作品的主要原因是，影片的调调很好地反应了原著的时代精神，尤其是这部《气球上的五星期》。尽管原著的结构被改的面目全非，一开篇旅行团就被强行塞了一个美国人，后头又陆续塞进了各种人和动物；旅行本身也从纯粹的科学考察和美食风光之旅，莫名地有了政治目的。不过，片子剧情紧凑，从头到尾洋溢着英式笑话，101分钟绝不会无聊。特别称赞的是这部片子的主题曲，旋律轻快、跳跃，放在片首很让人提神。I will touch the stars and bow to Mars，歌词威武。
