pesonal velocity, guess the name does reveal the intention of the author. everybody's got his or her personal velocity, while once in a while , we do bump into a u-turn. we stop or we adjust into a new velocity and keep going. all of a sudden, life changed, time stopped. how we gonna get over it, how we change.
guess i like the way in which it tells the story, 3 potraits, not too much rhetoric. a car accident ambiguously linked the stories.each one give you a kind of the answer but not the final one. i don't feel that it's telling the women to be strong and independent, get out of the control of men. it's about personal choice and the way we live. sometimes life doesn't give much of the choice but chosen.it's how we face rthe u turn that reveal the nature of a person.
i can't tell whether the movie give you the real image of life. it's american life.family violence seems always more serious than any other place, thanks to the movie maker...but the desire the sympathy, the fear , the tolerance should be universal
