"The first title of No Home Movie was Home Movie. Chantal wanted to say with this title that it was a home-made movie, filmed entriely by herself (some of the footage she had even forgotten) and edited in her home. And also a film about home. But someone told us that Home Movie sounded a little bit like home cinema. And so, she said, "Oh, so it will be No Home Movie. It's even stronger. Because I don't belong to any home..." That was the way Chantal was thinking. Deep and quick.

When the film was showed in Locarno, Chantal went on the stage before the screening and said, 'it's a film about loss.' "
